The minor in marine biology offers students across the university the opportunity to enhance their degree program while gaining a deeper understanding of the ocean and the organisms that live there. The minor consists of a minimum of 19 credits. All students must completeMARN 2200Oceanography andMARA 2223/MARA 2225Marine Biology with Laboratory and will select one organismal course and one marine biology restricted elective in consultation with an advisor from the program. This minor is open to students in the BA Marine Affairs program with the following restriction: students who minor in Marine Biology may not useMARN 3331,MARN 4440, orMARN 4444as restricted electives in the Marine Affairs program.
